As I looked over my family’s old photo albums, I found myself transported back in time, reliving past memories and feeling the emotions that came with them. From the joy of milestones to the bittersweet nostalgia of lost places, the experience was both powerful and reflective.
To start my creative process, I first had to gather and sort my family photos, which capture special memories. Then, I searched for abandoned locations that I could use as a backdrop for my project. It was important to me to find places that truly embody the passage of time and the sense of abandonment. As I began to combine the photos, I was struck by how each snapshot captured a unique moment in time that has irretrievably passed.
